Bachelor's Degree Programs at Palm Beach State

Palm Beach State College offers several Bachelor's Degree Programs that can offer the student opportunities for advancement in his/her present career pathway. These programs are designed for working professionals to attend classes in a variety of formats including classroom and online that best suits the student's learning styles and personal scheduling needs. The College currently offers three bachelor's degree programs to meet needs for management personnel in several organizational settings.

Palm Beach State College's Bachelor's Degree Programs:

The Bachelor of Applied Science degree in INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
As a graduate of this program, students will have the knowledge and skills to pursue managerial-level positions in an information technology/management information systems environment. Students in this program take 21 semester hours of upper division (junior/senior level) core courses that provide a broad applied background in finance, legal and ethical issues, communications, leadership, and project management. An additional 21 hours of upper division concentration area courses focus on coursework to prepare students for employment in specialized areas in the information technology field such as Database Administration or Security and Network Assurance (IT Forensics).


The Bachelor of Applied Science degree in SUPERVISION & MANAGEMENT
As a graduate of this program, students will have the knowledge, skills and opportunity to pursue managerial-level positions in a variety of careers. Students in this program take 21 semester hours of upper division (junior/senior level) core courses that provide a broad applied background in finance, legal and ethical issues, management information systems, leadership, human resources and management. An additional 21 hours of upper division concentration area courses focus on coursework to prepare students for employment in a variety of managerial roles and career settings in the public and private sectors. Students may choose from concentration areas in General Management, Health Management or Public Safety Management.


The Bachelor of Science degree in NURSING
As a graduate of this program, students will prepare be prepared to advance into administrative and supervisory positions in the nursing and health care fields. The curriculum in the program follows the state prescribed articulated curriculum for advancement of A.S./A.A.S. degree nurses into the Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing program. The lower division requirements include 85 credits, including general education, nursing courses and common prerequisite courses. The upper division courses include 36 credit hours of course work that focuses on leadership, management, advanced care concepts, research, and contemporary issues in nursing. The program culminates in a capstone course that synthesizes the concepts learned throughout the program.

About the Bachelor's Degree Programs at Palm Beach State College

The College's bachelor's degree programs are primarily designed for students with Associate in Science degrees to earn a bachelor's degree.  Palm Beach State College's bachelor degree programs meets all requirements for a bachelor's degree in the State of Florida including 36 hours of general education, foreign language requirements and are at least 120 hours in length, including lower level courses.
