OPT2941 - Ophthalmic Medical Practicum 2 (AS)
4 credits (32 clinical hours)
This course is an externship in an approved surgical training facility. The student will build upon a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the ophthalmic medical technician in a surgical setting. Emphasis will be placed upon the develoment of skills in operating room circulating, surgical assisting, maintaining sterile technique and instrumentation management in the operating room.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Ophthalmic Medical Technology AS degree program, OPT2800L (with a grade of C or higher)
