Our Service Area

Palm Beach State College's service district encompasses all of Palm Beach County, Florida. Located on the southeast coast of Florida, Palm Beach County is the second largest county in Florida in terms of land area, with a total landmass of almost 2,000 square miles. According to the 2016 population estimates, Palm Beach County's population ranks third in the state with 1,391,741 people.

And the population is expected to continue to grow, albeit not at the rate of recent decades.  Regardless, by 2040, Palm Beach County may be home to more than 1.7 million residents.

While residents between 18 and 34 years of age constitute only one in five Palm Beach County residents, this group makes up more than three-quarters of the students at Palm Beach State.  When the demographics are isolated to this population, it presents a slightly different perspective, and one that may help answer the question of whether the College accurately reflects the community.
