HESI A2 Registered Nursing Pre-admission Exam

A minimum score of 80 is required on this examination for direct inclusion into the applicant pool. A score of 80 is required for the math section of the HESI to be considered as well. A score of less than 80 on this examination and/or a score of less than 80 on the math section will prohibit entrance for this period.
The HESI A² exam may be taken 3 times during a calendar year with scores at least 61 days apart. The test is valid for 2 years. The test may be taken at any of the Palm Beach State College testing centers, as well as any outside testing centers that carry the nine (9) section HESI A² exam, in order to be considered for admission to the Registered Nursing Program. There is a $60 fee for this exam. Payment must be made in person at a Palm Beach State College Cashier’s Office. Receipt must be presented to the test center on the day of testing along with a valid photo ID. No exceptions.
Students can study for the HESI A2 exam by purchasing the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review (4th edition) study guide. It is located a most major book retailers. Students can also obtain free HESI practice questions to prepare for the exam.
Students can also register for the following approved non-credit courses for HESI preparation:
NRO 0161– Hesi Admission Exam Review Language Arts
NRO 0162– Hesi Admission Exam Review Math Science
**Please be advised that the HESI exam is now being offered on a walk-in basis at the Lake Worth Testing Center ONLY! All other campuses require appointments to take the HESI exam.**
