Biotechnology 2, lecture and lab, is a course designed to introduce the student to protein expression, structure, processing and production. The student will learn about various chromatography techniques such as Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) and Size Exclusion Chromatography, run protein gels, quantify proteins and complete a western blot. Students will visit local biotech company labs, meet scientists from our bioscience community and participate in a research project poster presentation.
