Chris Hubbs graduated from Palm Beach State College in May 2009. Chris completed his internship at CuRNA, a Scripps Florida start-up company. CuRNA is using novel non-coding RNA technology, exclusively licensed from Scripps Florida, to develop therapies for many important diseases. Chris is currently working as a full-time employee at CuRNA.
Charles Olive

Charles Olive graduated from Palm Beach State College in May 2009. Charles completed his internship at CuRNA in the therapeutic potential of non-coding RNAs that do not produce protein. CuRNA's research is focused on the following areas: cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and neurological diseases. Charles is currently working as a full-time employee at CuRNA.
John Schneider

John completed his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. He recently completed his biotechnology internship, Summer 2009, at Dyadic International in their Quality Assurance/Quality Control laboratory. John's work with enzymes developed his interest in organic chemistry and enzyme kinetics. He is currently working part-time at Dyadic as a lab technician and will be working on Palm Beach State's biofuels project.

Vesna graduated from Palm Beach State's Biotechnology Program in December 2008. She completed her internship at the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute at University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. She utilized RNA/Protein Characterization techniques during her research under Paul Schiller.
Yiqun Ding

Yiqun Ding graduated from Palm Beach State's Biotechnology Program in May 2009. She learned key techniques in instrumentation at Sancilio & Company under the direction of Dr. Fred Sancilio. She completed her internship project at Scripps Florida under the direction of Dr. Howard Petrie. She was involved in genotyping transgenic animals.
Michael Spaargaren

Michael Spaargaren graduated from Palm Beach State's Biotechnology Program in December 2008. She performed his internship project at Scripps Florida in the Molecular Screening Center under the direction of Dr. Peter Hodder, Scientific Director of Lead Identification at the Translational Research Institute. He designed high throughput screening assays to detect novel antibiotics.
Scott Novick

Scott graduated from Palm Beach State's biotechnology program in Fall 2007. He completed his internship at Scripps Research Institute where he was involved in the Department of Cancer Biology under the direction of Michael Conkright. Conkright's main research focus is in the area of transcriptional regulation. Due to Scott's work success at Scripps Research Institute, he was offered employment.
