Protect Yourself
Social and Professional Networking Sites
With the increasing popularity of social and professional networking sites (eg., MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), it is more important than ever to be vigilant and protect your personal information. Below is a link to a United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) cyber security tip discussing how to stay safe on social networking sites.

(Note: One tip that is not included in the cyber alert, but I highly recommend, is that you do NOT include your full birth-date on your social networking site. Your birth-date is a significant piece of personal information that online thieves can use to steal your identity.)
