About the Bachelor of Applied Science degree
A Bachelor of Applied Science degree is primarily designed for students with Associate in Science degrees to earn a bachelor's degree. In the state of Florida, Associate in Science degrees typically do not transfer to a university. In 2002, the state legislature authorized community colleges to begin offering bachelor's degree in selected fields of study.
Palm Beach State's BAS degree meets all requirements for a bachelor's degree including 36 hours of general education, foreign language requirements and is 120 hours in length including associate degree courses.
