The Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Management prepares students with the knowledge and skills to pursue managerial-level positions in an information technology/management information systems environment.
This degree program has two concentration areas: Database Management and Security & Network Assurance (IT Forensics). Each concentration area provides the student with a broad applied background in finance, legal and ethical issues, communications, leadership, and project management. An additional 21 hours of upper-division concentration area courses focus on coursework to prepare students for employment in specialized areas in the information technology field such as networking and security assurance, or database administration.
As a graduate of this program, students are able to pursue employment in a variety of business and organizational settings in information technology-related areas for positions requiring a bachelor's degree for consideration.
