Job force imagePalm Beach State College offers continuing education courses and certificate programs (PSAV, CCC) to help students prepare for immediate employment in their chosen field. The College also offers numerous resources to help those who are looking for employment training - to get back in the job market or for those looking to advance in their current career.

Areas of Study - This is a list of programs and courses that the College offers to help you obtain marketable skills for specific jobs. Use this training to move up the ladder in your current field or gain skills to enter a new field. Click here to view list.

Career Centers - Career services are available at each location, where students can receive career counseling, computerized career guidance, career assessment, and current trends in employment. Employment services are also available to students and graduates, including job search strategies, interviewing and resume writing assistance. Resumes can be posted online so employers can search for students meeting their employment needs. www.palmbeachstate.edu/career.xml

Note: To use the Career Center services, persons must meet one of the following criteria: (1) currently enrolled student in degree program, certificate/PSAV program, credit class, noncredit course or Crossroads student; (2) be a graduate of a Palm Beach State College program; or (3) prospective student with application and the appropriate test scores (FCELPT or TABE) on file.

Crossroads - Crossroads is a displaced homemaker program offering free career guidance and employability skills training to eligible individuals 35 years of age or older. The program assists participants in their efforts to rebuild self-confidence and become economically self-sufficient through employment and training. Global Education Center - a one-stop education and information resource center for new and existing immigrants of Palm Beach County. www.palmbeachstate.edu/GlobalEducation.xml

Language Connections Institute - improve your skills in English to improve your chances of getting the job you want. www.palmbeachstate.edu/cceLCI.xml

Online Classes - Palm Beach State College partners with online vendors to offer courses that are informative, convenient, and interactive. www.palmbeachstate.edu/cceOnline.xml

Scholarships - Training scholarships are available in partnership with the Workforce Alliance Career Centers in PB County. www.pbcAlliance.com

Veteran Affairs (VA) - Palm Beach State College is state approved for veteran's training. Veterans and eligible dependents who plan to attend should apply through the veteran's section of the Financial Aid Office. www.palmbeachstate.edu/veterans.xml
