Research Technician: Working within the Department of Metabolism & Aging, the selected candidate will order supplies; perform general maintenance of lab equipment; prepare media; provide assistance in the execution of experiments (including RNA extraction, analysis of gene expression, PCR, DNA extraction, assessment of protein expression by western blot, and mammalian cell culture); and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Ocean Ridge Biosciences (ORB) is seeking a Lab Manager of Biotech Research Services - Trainee. ORB is a growing life science company in the research tools sector of biotechnology. ORB is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, near the geographic center of a rapidly developing Life Science Cluster. ORB is developing new tools for expression profiling and focused screening of low abundance non-coding and non-polyadenylated mRNAs. This is a part-time position of 15-25 hours per week, with the potential to convert to full-time after training is completed. Pay will be based on skills and prior experience. The responsibilities of this position include:
| Maintain laboratory quality control through routine instrument calibration, reagent testing, and inspection of outgoing data. |
| Maximize lab throughput by maintaining supplies of consumables and laboratory cleanliness. |
| Receive and perform quality control analysis of incoming biosamples (primarily RNA and DNA). |
| Maintain a high level of customer service by diligently managing incoming customer inquiries. |
| Assist with e-mail and telephone sales and marketing efforts. |
