To be paid for the holiday or break, non-unit employees must be in paid status before and after the holiday or break in accord with Board Policy #6HX-18-5.12 .

The college has a 4 day work week during the summer months. The compressed work week schedule is as follows:
- 2010 - applicable from the week of May 10 - August 5
- 2011 - applicable from the week of May 9 - August 4
