If you’re a bookkeeper who is new to this field through placement, promotion or perhaps part of a start-up organization, get up to speed on the essentials of bookkeeping. Learn to perform all the necessary bookkeeping transactions and produce a set of books that meets generally accepted accounting principles. (20 hours)


Bookkeeping Essentials 2 - AKO 0101

If you have some bookkeeping experience and responsibilities and would like to advance your knowledge and learn how to prepare journals and other general ledger statements, this course has been designed with you in mind.  Topics include: preparation of internal control and special journals, bank reconciliation, internal control of fixed assets, preparation of payroll and payroll taxes. (20 hours) 


QuickBooks Basics - CWO0128

This course is aimed at the business professional and introduces QuickBooks basic features including managing revenue, expenses, payroll processing, and how to book inventory. Additional topics are covered in QuickBooks Intermediate.


QuickBooks Intermediate - CWO0169

Builds upon the QuickBooks Basic course and covers additional features such as: multi-user mode; online banking; inventory; reports and graphs; work orders; estimates and invoicing; and exporting and importing within QuickBooks. Knowledge of QuickBooks Basic topics is suggested.

Taxation of Individuals I - BEO0348

Learn basic federal individual tax preparation as a job skill. Upon completion, you will learn the mechanics both by hand and by using a professional tax software to be able to prepare a basic individual income tax return. You will also have knowledge of recent tax law changes, overlooked deductions, and an overview of common tax preparation mistakes.


Taxation of Individuals 2 - BEO0349

Prerequisite: Taxation of Individuals 1 or equivalent

Designed to follow Taxation of Individuals 1, you will be able to further expand on your tax preparation skills both by hand and by using a professional tax software. You will be learning topics that will include business income and expenses; rental income and expenses; depreciation; and recent tax law changes. You will learn how to prepare Schedule C and E of the 1040.

This course teaches students how to create and save documents, edit documents, manipulate text, formate text and paragraphs, find and replace text and use proofing tools.

Photoshop Fundamentals (Part 1) - CWO0245

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of image editing using the latest version of Photoshop. The focus is on basic tools for creating graphic images, retouching of images, color correction in photographs or artwork, using layers and filters to create composites, and preparing images for output either on the web or for print. Photoshop Fundamentals (Part 2) - CWO0252
