
ORH2949C - Ornamental Horticulture Work Experience/Internship (AS)

3 credits (2 lecture hours, 15 lab hours)
Description:
This program combines campus study with directly related work experience in the horticulture
field. College credit is given for the learning, which occurs as a result of working
in the green industry. Students are required to work 15 hours per week in a horticulture
position. Learning objectives are developed by the student, industry supervisor and
faculty coordinator. Class meetings and personal conferences are held to discuss
progress and resolve problems encountered in the work environment.
Prerequisite: Student must have completed at least 12 credit hours with a minimum
of 2.0 grade point average
