Rachael Bonlarron Biography

Rachael Bonlarron is the Executive Director for Community Engagement and Special Assistant to the President of Palm Beach State College. 

“Her primary functions consist of serving as the community contact for the President; assisting with the College’s public relations, marketing and outreach functions; providing direction for the comprehensive community engagement of the College; and serving as the College's registered lobbyist and government relations director.”

“Rachael sits on the Boards of the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County and West Palm 100, a non-profit organization that provides civic and social opportunities that benefit the children, families, and neighborhoods of West Palm Beach. She participates as a Trustee for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches; sits on the Birth to 22 Steering Committee; and is involved with the Palm Beach County Action Alliance for Mental Health. Rachael is also the recent past Chair of the Association of Florida Colleges’ Legislative Committee.”

Prior to joining Palm Beach State College, she worked as the Director of Public Affairs for McNicholas & Associates, Inc., where she worked with community leaders and lobbied for client needs in Palm Beach County and in Tallahassee.

From 2010 through 2015, Rachael served as the Executive Director for the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation, the entity that includes the thirteen state senators and representatives whose districts comprise portions of Palm Beach County. She was responsible for coordinating all legislative delegation meetings, developing the delegation’s legislative program, which includes all local bills, working on community appropriation requests, assisting with county and municipal legislative priorities, and serving as the liaison between the delegation, local and federal governments, and community organizations.

Prior to serving as an executive director, Rachael was the Chief Legislative Aide for the State House Majority (Republican) Leader. She began her career with the State House Majority Whip in Tallahassee where she then became a legislative analyst for the 2004 Majority Leader. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Florida State University and is currently pursuing her MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
