Campus Academic Dean
As of September 1, 2020, Kimberly Lancaster has joined the Belle Glade Campus as the
Dean of Academic Affairs. She has served as the Associate Dean for Business and Computer
Science at Palm Beach State College for more than four years. She has been employed
at PBSC for more than twenty-seven years, serving on three of the College’s five campuses.
During her tenure at PBSC, she has served in varying roles including PSAV Coordinator,
Program Director, Director and Associate Dean.
Kim has more than seventeen years of experience working with business partners within Palm Beach County to develop and offer quality training that meets the workforce needs within the Palm Beach County. She has developed and maintained five active Business Partnership Councils as part of this endeavor, as well as host several recruitment events. Her partnerships with business leaders have been instrumental in helping to place students in Internships, as well as job placement, and in providing input in creating the College’s Computer Science/IT Innovation Lab.
Kim has more than twenty-years of experience programming and scheduling district-wide programs which included Career Certificate, CCE and Credit programs. She has a vast amount of experience in grant oversight, as well as curriculum and program development. Kim is currently serving on the Palm Beach Tech Association Board and Education Committee, as well as the Business Development Board’s Logistics/Transportation Taskforce.
Previous Community service includes the City of West Palm Beach Mayor’s Education Advisory Council and the John I. Leonard High School Advisory Board. She is also a member of the ACE Women’s Network of Florida (PBSC Chapter), the National Association of Professional Women, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP) and the Association for Florida Colleges (AFC).
Kim serves on numerous other college committees and taskforces including serving as Co-Champion for the Escalate Continuous Improvement Strategy Taskforce, Strategic Planning-Building Learning Environments, Academic Computing & Technology Governance Committee, Guided Pathways Taskforce and Weekend College Taskforce. In addition, her previous professional experience includes teaching in the K-12 private school sector and the Banking industry.
As a native south Floridian, Kim is dedicated to making a difference within the community and has a passion for the education of adult learners. She is an alumna of Palm Beach State College and holds an MBA degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
For fun, Kim enjoys cooking, being on the boat with her husband, traveling and spending as much time as possible with her two adult children and three grandchildren. Dean Lancaster grew up in the Glades area on Lake Okeechobee, where her parents still reside. She is a resident of Loxahatchee Groves and enjoys the western communities.
