High School of Origin, Prior Year High School Completers, 2016-17
Palm Beach State students come from high schools far and wide. Palm Beach Central High School graduates accounted for nearly 300 prior-year high school completers who attended Palm Beach State in either the Fall 2016 or Spring 2017 terms. Eight county high schools had more than 200 of their prior-year graduates come to Palm Beach State, and another 12 schools delivered more than 100 students.
Of course, high schools of origin vary greatly with the location of each campus. Several high schools located primarily between Lake Worth and Boynton Beach and west to the Wellington and Royal Palm Beach areas contributed significantly to enrollment at the Lake Worth campus. The north county schools of Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Seminole Ridge and William T. Dwyer made up the bulk of prior-year high school graduates at the Palm Beach Gardens campus.
High schools around Lake Okeechobee, led by Glades Central, produced the greatest share of students at Belle Glade, while Boca/Delray-area and northern Broward County high schools accounted for the largest number of new college students at Boca Raton.
