Don't miss out! Mom & Daughter STEM Camp 2018
August 6-9 | Monday - Thursday from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Palm Beach State College is excited to host our third annual Mom/ Daughter STEM camp. The half-day camp will run Monday through Thursday from 9am-12pm at the Palm Beach Gardens campus in the Bioscience Technology Complex building, in biotech labs SC214 and SC217.
We will be doing forensics, genetics, chemistry, engineering, botany, and math activities, plus career exploration and wellness activities for girls in 6th - 8th grades. Girls must come with either their mom, grandma, big sister (over 18), aunt, or other adult female chaperone.
Girls will explore DNA isolation techniques, polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, engineering labs, math activities, learn about our medicinal gardens, and more! We'll have great giveaways and special treats for the kids and adult participants.
On the final day, we will host a Female Scientist & Engineer Career Panel from 10am – 12pm where campers will hear from local female scientists and engineers about their experiences and get tips for success. During the week-long day camp, moms/chaperones are fully engaged and participate in all activities (this is not a drop-off camp). We think that’s what makes this camp special and fun!

We look forward to seeing you and your young scientist this summer!
