College Credit Certificates
Digital Animation
Develop the 3-D animation skills needed to get your foot in the door of film, television
or advertising companies. Using the leading industry software – Autodesk’s Maya® and
3ds Max® – students experience the entire animation process, including modeling, simulation,
visual effects, rendering and compositing scenes.
Post-Production Technology
Gain marketable skills in film and sound editing as well as film production. Students
add to their résumés by serving in production crew positions on student film projects.
Recording Arts
Learn the latest Pro Tools® software that allows musicians to mix tracks and create
recordings digitally. Graduates will be ready to assist in recording performances
live or in a studio, and shape the soundscape of a film or television show.
Associate in Science Degree
Motion Picture Production Technology
Concentrations: Digital Animation, Production or Recording Arts
Taught by professionals, students in the A.S. degree program put together projects from the ground up, using cutting-edge equipment and technologies. Throughout the program, exposure to theory and fundamental principles is balanced by a practical emphasis on current industry standards and techniques
Hands-on courses encompass directing, screenwriting and cinematography, in addition to concentration area subjects like digital story development, studio recording or film producing. Student projects and internship opportunities in the local/regional film industry offer an extensive amount of real-world experience and often lead to employment.
Your Career Path
Many career paths start with an A.S. degree in Motion Picture Production Technology. Examples of entry level positions include:
Digital Animation
3-D modeler, animator or digital production specialist
Production
Camera assistant, video editor or film crew member
Recording Arts
Audio technician, mix assistant or assistant audio editor
Organizations employing graduates include: Video and film production companies, recording studios, video game producers, software and multimedia publishers, advertising agencies, television networks and corporations.
Options for a Bachelor’s Degree
Program courses may transfer into PBSC’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Supervision
and Management, as well as colleges and universities that allow students to transfer
into a four-year program.

Scholarships
Some students prefer to work on campus through the work study or student assistant programs. To qualify for these programs the process begins by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and indicate on question No. 28 of the FAFSA your interest in part-time employment as part of your financial assistance.
