Launch a great career as a marine technician
Through a partnership with the American Boat and Yacht Council, Palm Beach State College offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to train marine service technicians according to industry standards and practices.
You will train in labs and on boats and complete the program with ABYC student certification.
The program also prepares you to test for regular ABYC certification, as well as selected Automotive Service Excellence certifications, which are valuable to employers.

Your admission to a Trade and Industry program may be delayed for one or more of the following reasons:
- You have not taken the TABE or provided proof of exemption.
- You have not had an advising session with a Career Certificate program advisor.
- You have completed 50% of your program courses and have not satisfied the VPI co-requisite course requirements.
See a Career Certificate program advisor or Workforce Assessment Advisor to complete your application process. This program is eligible for Financial Aid.
Some students entering this program are required to take the TABE test. All are required to meet with an advisor prior to registration. For more information on the TABE and admissions procedures contact student advisor Mikayel Ishmael.
Tuition & Fees: The approximate cost of tuition and fees for the Marine Service Technology program is approximately $4,419 for Florida residents. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
