The Belle Glade Cosmetology and Barbering programs at Palm Beach State College requires all students to actively participate as clients as well as service providers. All students serve as models in the program, beginning with shampoos and styles in the first class through manicure/pedicure procedures. You may be asked to remove hairpieces, extensions, weaves, artificial nails, etc., to participate in the program. Students may not refuse to participate to keep their additions in place. Please keep this in mind when enrolling. You will learn proper application, care, and maintenance of artificial hair and nails, but this may require you to sacrifice your current looks to learn the techniques.
