Degree Structure and Concentration Areas

The bachelor's degree programs at Palm Beach State College are designed to transfer selected coursework from your existing associate degree. If you do not have an associate's degree, you will need to have earned at least 60 hours of credit-level coursework, of which 15 hours must be transferable general education. Each degree program serves a different audience, so your associate degree must reflect the learning needed to be admitted to each of the bachelor's degree programs.

Bachelor of Applied Science Degrees

The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree Programs in Information Management and Supervision and Management have great versatility in serving the needs of both A.S./A.A.S. and A.A. degree students. The links on the left will provide more specific information on each area of concentration. 

If you hold an A.S. or A.A.S. degree, your lower division courses are evaluated to see how they meet program requirements; you may need to take additional coursework including  general education courses or other lower division courses.

If you hold an A.A. degree, you will need to take 18 hours in lower division coursework in one of the concentration areas.

If you have earned at least 60 hours of college credit but have not earned an associate's degree, you can apply to the program and have your transcript evaluated to see how your credits can articulate into the BAS program.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Are you a registered nurse who is ready to take the next step in your career? Have you thought about a leadership role whereby you can make a difference in the delivery of patient care? Palm Beach State College is offering an RN-BSN program at the Lake Worth campus. Throughout the program, the students will build upon the foundational skills attained in your basic nursing educational program. The course work in the RN-BSN program at Palm Beach State College places emphasis on nursing leadership as well as professional development in order to strengthen the skills of the licensed nurse. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be prepared to take on a leadership role in a healthcare organization as well as apply leadership principles.  This leadership track will assist a Registered Nurse navigate through the ever changing health care system and facilitate the provision of care for patients and communities.

The BSN program admitted the first group of students January 2012. It is specifically designed for persons holding an A.S. or A.A.S. degree in Nursing and are currently licensed as a nurse in the State of Florida.
