The Sign Language Program introduces participants to the American Sign Language and the history of the profession and the field of interpreting, including K-12 educational interpreting and state and national interpreting testing systems. Interpreters serve as the communication link for individuals in classrooms, offices and various other settings.
Palm Beach State College is pleased to offer American Sign Language. Through this effort, we hope to meet the needs of our community. Students may complete this program in approximately two years. Students can take no more than one sign language class at a time. These courses award Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) and do not apply toward a College degree. Students interested in becoming registered interpreters should contact www.rid.org for information.
