
This 1,200 clock hour PSAV certificate program prepares the student for employment as a licensed cosmetologist.
New students are admitted three times a year; May, August, and January.
Program Information Session
Monday Evening February 27th, 2012
4:00 - 6:00 pm.
Lake Worth Campus, Room ETA107
Students interested in registering for the 2012 Summer Sessions of Cosmetology and Facial Specialist should plan to attend this session. Included in the agenda will be:
•· Procedure for application to the programs
•· Meet the instructors and academic advisors
•· Tours of the facility.
This is a mandatory session for those students wanting to attend the Summer 2012 sessions. Applicants for the Fall sessions are also welcome. See you there!!!
Evening class hours are held Monday to Thursday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and evening students can complete the program in 2 years.
Program classes cover:
- - Haircutting and Styling
- - Color
- - Esthetics
- - Manicures and Pedicures
- - Salon Management
Students also gain experience performing services for clients in a salon setting.
Cosmetology, facial and nail services are open to the public and Palm Beach State community for reasonable fees. Price List

Your admission to a Trade and Industry program may be delayed for one or more of the following reasons:
- You have not taken the TABE or provided proof of exemption.
- You have not had an advising session with a PSAV advisor.
- You have completed 50% of your program courses and have not satisfied the VPI co-requisite course requirements.

Most students entering this program are required to take the TABE test. All are required to meet with an advisor prior to registration. For more information on the TABE and admissions procedures click here.

Day classes are scheduled Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (including a 1 hour lunch) during the Spring and Fall terms. During the Summer term there are no Friday classes and the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students attending day classes complete the program in about 1 year.
