College Level Academic Skills (CLAS) Waiver Request
In accordance with Florida Administrative Code (6A-10.0311), students receiving an Associate in Arts or Bachelor degree must show attainment of college-level academic skills. For students unable to show attainment through course grades or through an attempt(s) at the College Level Academic Skills Test prior to July 1, 2009, the student may present test scores as follows:

If the student is unable to attain the needed scores as stated above after one attempt, the student may apply for a waiver by completing this form. In order for the request to be considered, the student must:
- Not be eligible for a waiver through course grades
- Have scores lower on the test than the scores noted above.
- Have a complete set of scores on one of the tests listed above to assess each CLAS area.
- Met all other requirements for the Associate in Arts or Bachelor of Applied Science degree
If the student does not meet the criteria (A-D) as stated above, the student cannot apply for a waiver.
Process to apply for the Waiver:

- Complete the form with your name, student ID and date. Save the form and email it as an attachment to approver@pbcc.edu.
- Your form will be reviewed to see if you meet the qualifications in items A-D above.
- You will receive a letter notifying you of the committee's decision.
The CLAS Waiver Committee will consider requests for waivers once each month. Requests submitted by the first business day of the month will be reviewed in that month. Requests submitted after the first business day of the month will be reviewed in the following month.
