Belle Glade Teen Center Scholarship at Palm Beach State College

This scholarship is available to active members of The Smith & Moore Family Teen Center who have been a member of a Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County (BGCPBC) for at least two consecutive years and have completed 20 volunteer hours at the BGCPBC Club.  Scholarship recipients can attend any of the Palm Beach State College campuses. Students must be enrolled in an AA, AS or CCP program working towards a degree or certificate. Priority will be given to students studying Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and Industry, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation pathways.

Scholarship award: Scholarship awards are in the amount of up to $1500 per student per year.

Criteria

  • Program Area of Study:  Students must be enrolled in an A.A., A.S. or CCP program working towards a degree or certificate. Priority will be given to students studying Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and Industry, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation pathways.
  • Minimum Grade Points:  2.0 GPA.
  • Residency Preference:  Belle Glade resident preferred. Scholarship recipients can attend any of the Palm Beach State College campuses.
  • Full-time student.
  • This scholarship is available to active members of The Smith & Moore Family Teen Center who have been a member of a Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County (BGCPBC) for at least two consecutive years and have completed 20 volunteer hours at the BGCPBC Club.
  • Scholarship recipient must submit a letter of gratitude to the donor before receiving funding.

 

Eligibility & Application

Scholarship eligibility includes completion of FAFSA, a current GPA of 2.0 or higher, and submission of a 250-word essay describing how the scholarship will benefit the applicant’s educational journey.
