Palm Beach State College Benefits Open Enrollment for 2026
Open Enrollment for the 2026 benefit plan year begins on October 13, 2025, and ends on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 6 p.m. Unless you make changes, your current benefits will roll over and remain the same for 2026 including flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA).
People First
This is your annual opportunity to review and make changes to your benefits, including:
- Medical: No changes to plans or rates
- Dental: New rates for all plans except for DHMO plans, no changes to plan design
- Vision: New rates, no changes to plan design
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): elections will rollover
- Dependent Care: yearly contribution amount increased to $7,500 for single or married and filing jointly and $3,750 for those married and filing separately
- Health Savings Accounts (HSA): elections will rollover
- Maximum yearly contribution amounts increased: $4,400 for individual and $8,750 for
family
- These maximum amounts include the College funding of $500 for individual and $1,000 for family)
- Maximum yearly contribution amounts increased: $4,400 for individual and $8,750 for
family
- Ancillary insurance coverages continue
- Short-term disability: no changes
- Additional life insurances: new carrier, new rates and questionnaire required for increase in coverage amount
- Other supplemental plans
- Hospital: Cigna Hospital rates decreased
- Cancer: no changes
- Intensive care: no changes

College Offered Benefits (Workday)
You will receive an Open Enrollment task in Workday on October 13, 2025, for the College's newest benefit offering a legal plan through LegalShield.
- LegalShield - IDShield - Monthly rates apply to all costs mentioned in the flyer
- Voluntary life: not open for changes or new enrollments
- Short term disability: not open for changes or new enrollments
People First Deductions
The State plans are paid for one month in advance with the exception of Flexible Spending (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Therefore, deductions for January will be:
- December 5th and 19th for employees paid biweekly, and
- December 15th and 31st for employees paid semi-monthly.
All benefit payments for People First are based on 24 deductions per year. Employees paid biweekly will not have a regular benefit deduction on the January 30st check in 2026. (This does not apply to retirement deductions.)
Workday Deductions
Deductions begin in January and are taken per paycheck.
