Palm Beach State College Benefits Open Enrollment for 2025

Active and eligible employees must make enrollments through People First and Workday in order to have benefits for 2025.  

There are a multitude of plans offered by the State and through the College that can provide coverage and protection for you and your family. Below is a chart showing if the plan is through the College, through the State, or both, and where to enroll.

Hospital/Intensive Care State (People First) Apply for Cigna or New Era in People First. If currently enrolled in Aflac you can continue if you set up direct pay with them.
Pet Insurance No change New enrollments through Nationwide at any time

  1. For questions about enrollment, eligibility, or other processes, call the People First Service Center on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET at 866-663-4735 (TTY 866-221-0268).

Benefit elections must be made by 6 p.m. November 1, 2024. Employees who do not make elections by 6 p.m. on November 1st will not have benefits effective January 1, 2025!

 

Benefit Payments

The State plans are paid for one month in advance with the exception of Flexible Spending.  Therefore, deductions for January will be: 

  • December 6th and 20th for employees paid biweekly, and
  • December 13th and 31st for employees paid semi-monthly.

All benefit payments are 24 deductions per year.  Employees paid biweekly will not have a regular benefit deduction on the January 31st and August 29th checks in 2025. (This does not apply to retirement deductions.)
