Education

Dr. Watson received his PhD from the University of Illinois ( Entomology), His BS was in Biology and Chemistry and his MS was in Zoology ( Mosquito Ecology)

He has been a tenured professor, department head, researcher, teaching abroad leader, forensic science program head, and academic advisor to BS, MS, and PhD students in his 40 years of experience.
He holds Professor Emeritus status at Ferris State University, Big Rapids Michigan where he taught for 30 years
His last position before PBSC was Chair of Biological Sciences at Qatar University in Doha Qatar where he recently (Dec 8, 2020) completed the mentorship of his last PhD students in Qatar.

His research interest is ecology and diversity of insects in various biomes of the world as it applies to ecological stability and forensic entomology.
He has visited and/or conducted research in over 58 foreign countries

He has been employed as a professor and researcher at 3 foreign universities for periods of 1 to 4 years
