MIS/Pre-press Director (St Ives USA, 2007-2008)
Performed all MIS functions in addition to managing staff of 15 pre-press operators spread across three shifts. Stepped up and took charge of pre-press operations in order to resolve staffing shortage. Simultaneously performed all duties as MIS Director including 24/7 support for 1200 employees.
  • Upgraded Prepress servers and software in order to implement rules-based automation for processing client files ($250,000 project resulted in $300,000 annual savings)
  • Increased throughput of critical manufacturing process 220%: Analyzed existing platesetter, recommended new replacement, set up prerequisite network and processor and supervised installation ($350,000 project)
  • Implemented color management system for clients to approve color onscreen and to calibrate output for presses
MIS Director (St Ives USA, 2001-2007)
Designed, implemented and managed LAN, WLAN, MAN and WAN circuits among plants in Miami, Hollywood, Rochester and Cleveland as well as co-location site in South Florida. Configured, monitored and maintained Watchguard firewalls, PIX firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco routers and Inter-Tel (Mitel) telephone systems. Acquired firsthand knowledge of steps necessary to satisfy Business Software Alliance (BSA). Provided 24/7 support to 1600 employees. Best practices ensured by IT audits conducted annually by Deloitte and Touche. 
  • Named Employee of the Year (2002).
  • Streamlined business processes. Played key role in the reimplementation of ERP solution so that it worked for all four plants under St Ives USA banner ($1 million annual savings).
  • Played instrumental role during deployment of online ordering system.
  • Maximized uptime for critical services by moving servers into co-location site.
  • Facilitated infrastructure (Metro-Ethernet) needed between plants in Hollywood and Miami in order to consolidate pre-press ($43,000 annual cost for circuits resulted in $540,000 in annual savings).
  • Conducted telephone and data circuit audit that resulted in $300,000 annual savings; renegotiated contracts and changed circuit types.
MIS Director (Avanti/Case-Hoyt, 1998-2001)
Managed Definity telephone switch, Audix voicemail. Managed a mixed network of PC, UNIX and Macintosh computers. Provided 24/7 support to 800 employees.
Established and maintained policies and procedures for IT computer operations, security, downtime procedures, preventive maintenance, disaster and recovery plans, backups, inventory management and change management.
Project Manager for the purchase, installation and support of hardware and circuits in client offices ($150,000 project).

Senior Project Manager (US Web/Avanti, 1997-1998)
US Web Avanti was a subsidiary of Avanti/Case-Hoyt that provided website design.
Clients included Enrique Iglesias, Bigelow Tea and Coconut Grove Bank.

Systems Manager (Avanti/Case-Hoyt Corporation, 1995-1997)
Application specialist in QuarkXPress, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Achieved nearly $1 million annual savings by training art directors, copywriters and account managers on preparation of pages for print.

Formerly one of top 150 ad agencies in U.S., with capitalized billings over $80 million.
