Jan Stein Memorial Scholarship

An Inspirational Life and Legacy

The Jan Stein Memorial Scholarship Fund celebrates the life and legacy of not only Jan herself but also her extraordinary passion for the arts.

Once a curator of art for individual and corporate clients, Jan also owned and operated her own gallery while exemplifying her love for the arts as a life art model at Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University.

Since the time of the Renaissance, the practice of drawing or painting the human figure, life art, or life drawing, allows artists to study anatomy and form, develop observation skills and create art based on the direct viewing of living subjects.

Established in 2025 through a kind gift to Palm Beach State College, the Jan Stein Memorial Scholarship Fund honors Jan and her contributions to the arts. Awarded to three outstanding art students annually, the Scholarship provides for educational expenses of life art students in their junior year.

Jan Stein was tragically killed on April 1, 2025, and this scholarship fund in her name recognizes and reveres her beautiful life and heartfelt devotion to the arts.

Palm Beach State warmly invites you to embrace Jan's generous spirit and inspire young artists in her name with a gift that brings hope and opportunity.

"To be an artist is to believe in life."
