Professor Labranche was born in the Carribbean, but raised for most of her life in Brooklyn, New York. After attending Catholic school for most of her life, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from New York Institute of Technology. Professor Labranche worked as a Corporate Trainer for the first 10 years of her professional career, then briefly as an IT Project Manager.  After migrating to Florida 10 years ago, she enrolled in Palm Beach Atlantic University to pursue a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health. She began a new career in Child Welfare and worked as a Dependency Case Manager for abused, neglected and abandoned children entering foster care. After earning her Masters Degree she worked as an In-Home Family Therapist for families in crisis.

Professor Labranche is currently a private Marriage and family therapist, and an Adjunct Professor in Psychology. She serves as Director of Foster Care for 4KIDS of South Florida, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to licensing and supporting foster homes for children in foster care. Professor Labranche has two biological children, Mason 21, and Myles 17, as well as an adopted daughter, Sarah, 19. In her spare time, she is an aspiring writer, pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Northcentral University.
