The College will be closed on Nov. 24 & 25 for Thanksgiving Break. There are no classes scheduled for Saturday or Sunday. Normal operations will resume on Monday, Nov. 28.

Central Receiving & Mailroom

Central Receiving is responsible for approximately 160,000 pieces of UPSP mail, nearly 14,000 express packages, freight deliveries annually for the Lake Worth campus, interoffice mail and internal stores orders of copy paper, envelopes and forms.


FedEx Express

  • Deadline: 1:30 p.m. daily for same day pickup, Lake Worth Campus. After 1:30, you have the option to take your package to a local FedEx drop box or shipping center after you’ve completed a shipping label containing the college’s FedEx account Number

Instructions

  • Prepare a shipping label. Labels can be picked up in Central Receiving, DW109
  • Call 1-800-463-3339 to schedule your pickup. Have the following information available:
    • Number of packages/envelopes
    • Account Number (printed on the college’s FedEx Airbill)
    • Total weight
  • After the pickup has been scheduled, call Central Receiving to arrange for packages to be picked up from your area
  • For delivery times on your specific campus, contact the warehouse on your campus

IMPORTANT

  • Always add a College Contact name from your department on FedEx slips
  • RMA/Items returned to supplier: On the FedEx slip, be sure indicate if the supplier (recipient) or the College(sender) is paying for the shipping. Usually the supplier will send a shipping label and/or RMA paperwork, a copy of which must be provided to our mailroom otherwise the College will end up paying for the shipment

FedEx Ground

  • Option 1: Contact Central Receiving for package pickup including labeling & weighing

  • Option 2: Prepare an address label and barcode label
    • You can request FedEx Ground barcode labels by calling 1-800-463-3339 and saying “order shipping supplies” at the prompt. If you don’t have your own barcode labels, you can take your package to a FedEx location, and they can create one for you.   • Call 1-800-463-3339 to schedule your pickup. Have the following information available:
    • Number of packages/envelopes
    • Account Number (call Central Receiving for the Account Number)
    • Total weight
  • After the pickup has been scheduled, call Central Receiving to arrange for packages to be picked up from your area

UPS

The College does not have a contract with UPS at this time. If UPS is required, please contact the mail room on your campus.


U.S. Mail

  • Lake Worth deadline to go out same day: 11:30 a.m.
  • For delivery times on your specific campus, contact the warehouse on your campus; see Receiving Contacts by Campus Location
  • Certified Mail:  Step-by-step instructions on how to fill out a Certified Mail form
  • Envelopes flaps are to be stacked flat on top of each other, do not overlap flaps any longer. Our new mail equipment cannot properly process flaps that are overlapped. See image below

IMPORTANT

  • If you place a certified letter in your interoffice mail bag, it can easily get mixed with other items. Please notify Central Receiving at 561-868-3515 to expect a certified item in your mail bag

 Interoffice Mail (the Pony)

  • Lake Worth Deadline to go out same day: 9:30 a.m.
  • Interoffice mail is delivered throughout the day to each office on every campus except Belle Glade, where mail is delivered twice a week via a third-party courier service. Expected turnaround time for interoffice mail is two days

Stores Orders 

  • Copy paper, envelopes (window and non-window), and presentations folders can be purchased from the Central Stores in Central Receiving warehouse
  • The college buys these items in bulk and benefits from volume discount pricing that is passed along to your department
  • Turnaround time: two (2) days average delivery from the time Central Receiving gets your Internal Service Delivery request (ISD) until the time of delivery. Note: this does not include the length of time needed for your ISD to clear all of your specific approval paths

  • Create an Internal Service Delivery (ISD) in Workday to submit your request

If you have not received your Stores Order in a reasonable amount of time, contact the Central Receiving Warehouse Supervisor at 561-868-3804.


Bulk Mail

  • Bulk Mailing provides a reduced cost for mailers sending 200 pieces of mail or more
