Foundation Scholarships & Criteria

Did you know that $1.7 million dollars in Foundation Scholarships are awarded annually to PBSC students?  PBSC students just like you!

Palm Beach State College offers a number of scholarships for students, made possible through contributions from individuals, community organizations and foundations. Scholarship recipients are selected based on scholarship criteria established by the donors.

Scholarship criteria can include GPA, credit hours enrolled, program of study, financial need and/or other criteria specified by the donor and consistent with Foundation policies and guidelines.

Available scholarships and criteria

  • James Patterson Presidential Scholarship
    Through the PBSC Foundation, the James Patterson Presidential Scholarship funds 20 full-time scholarships. While eligibility targets students who are enrolled in English language arts or have expressed interest in pursuing careers in education, the scholarship is available to other full-time students as well. A two to four page reflection on how this scholarship impacts the student's academic and professional path is required. Applications will be accepted beginning November 2022.  Learn More

Belle Glade Campus

Belle Glade Teen Center Scholarship at Palm Beach State College
This scholarship is available to active members of The Smith & Moore Family Teen Center who have been a member of a Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County (BGCPBC) for at least two consecutive years and have completed 20 volunteer hours at the BGCPBC Club. Scholarship recipients can attend any of the PBSC campuses. Students must be enrolled in an AA, AS or CCP program working towards a degree or certificate. Priority will be given to students studying Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and Industry, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation pathways. |  Learn more & apply

Glades Area Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students who live in the Glades tri-cities area or Glades area (Belle Glade, Canal Point, South Bay, Pahokee and all unincorporated areas) of Palm Beach County. However, students can attend any of the Palm Beach State College campuses. Students must be enrolled in a CCP program working towards a certificate. Students must have a GPA or 2.0 or higher. Financial need is required. To be eligible, applicants must complete a FAFSA.

Glades Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students attending the Belle Glade campus attending CCP or CCE courses.  Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), reside in Belle Glade, be enrolled 6 or more credits or equivalent, and have a minimum 2.0 GPA or equivalent.

Harvey J. Poole, Sr. Scholarship
Scholarship is open to an in-state student attending the Belle Glade Campus with financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a 2.5 GPA or higher. 

Julia Ingram Mathis Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship open to all students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student may be full or part-time. Preference is given to students on the Boca, Loxahatchee and Belle Glade campuses.

Lake Okeechobee Muck Rat Nation Endowed Scholarship
For students enrolled at the Belle Glade campus with financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student must be full-time and live in Palm Beach County. Preference to students in the Agricultural field.

McKinlay Scholarship Fund
Scholarship benefitting students that reside in the Belle Glade area. Single mothers preferred.

Pop and Marj Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund I  (Awarded by Financial Aid Office)
Open students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) attending the Belle Glade or Loxahatchee campuses.  Students must have graduated (are received GED) from a public high school in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Lee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, or Palm Beach County. Student may be full or part-time, and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Opened to degree seeking and CCP students. 

The Howard E. Hill Foundation Current Use Scholarship
Scholarship is open to Belle Glade students in an AA, AS or CCP program (excluding cosmetology). Student must be in-state and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Full or part-time students are eligible.  

The Howard E. Hill Foundation Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for Belle Glade students in an AA, AS or CCP program (excluding cosmetology). Student must be in-state and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Full or part-time students are eligible.  

 

Boca Raton Campus

Dean Tanner Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for AA students on the Boca Campus who have earned 30 or more credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Student must be involved in a school or community organization. Scholarship covers tuition books and fees. 

GFWC Boca Raton Woman’s Club-Helen M. Babione Medical Endowed Scholarship
Open to students in the Health Sciences (Nursing, EMT, Paramedic, Respiratory, Sonography, Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting).  Preference for students attending the Boca campus. Financial need (determined by FAFSA) required. Student may be full or part-time and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Scholarship covers tuition only.

Pop and Marj Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund II  (Awarded by Financial Aid Office)
Open students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) attending the Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Worth or Boca campuses.  Students must have graduated (are received GED) from a public high school in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Lee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, or Palm Beach County. SAEN-KING Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is open to employees of Saint Andrew's Estates North enrolled 3 or more credit hours with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. FAFSA not required. Campus preference Boca Raton, in state tuition rate. Preferred programs are general education and health.

Soroptimist International of Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship benefitting students attending Boca Campus, with financial need (determined by FAFSA) with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students may be full or part-time, in degree or CCP programs. Preference for female student.  

The Rotary Club of Boca Raton Scholarship
Scholarship for students who graduated high school in Boca Raton or Delray Beach enrolled at the Boca Raton or Lake Worth campuses. Student be in-state, have financial need (determined by FAFSA), be full-time, be an incoming freshman or have a minimum GPA of 2.5,  and must be seeking their AS Degree, AA Degree or Certificate Degree. Students must participate in Rotary of Club of Boca Raton mentorship program, and be active in a Rotaract Club if club on campus. 

Zonta Club of Boca Raton Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship benefitting non-traditional student attending the Boca Campus. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and may be full or part-time. Preference for female.   

 

Lake Worth Campus

Scholarship benefitting full-time students with minimum 3.0 GPA and are attending at the Lake Worth Campus. 

Dr. Robin K. Hoggins-Blake Scholarship
Scholarship is open to full or part-time students in all areas of study with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who attend the Lake Worth campus.  Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA) and be in-state.

Harrigan Family Scholarship
Scholarship is open to full-time students in all areas of study with a minimum 2.4 GPA, who attend classes at the Lake Worth campus. Students must meet TRIO Talent Search entry requirements and be prepared to accept the assistance and services included with the program. Students must have financial need (determined by FAFSA). 

Pop and Marj Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund II  (Awarded by Financial Aid Office)
Open students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) attending the Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Worth or Boca campuses.  Students must have graduated (are received GED) from a public high school in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Lee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, or Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Gardens Campus

Eissey Campus Nivel Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students attending the PBG Campus and taking one speech course.  Students must be a Florida resident, have financial need (determined by FAFSA) May be full or part-time, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Dream It Do It Club Scholarship
For students attending the Eissey Campus who are active members of the Dream It Do Club who have financial need (determined by FAFSA).  Students may be full or part-time, in or out of state and  must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

John Mark Photos Endowed Scholarship
For students attending the Eissey Campus who are either: 1) active members of the Dream It Do Club, 2) majoring in art, or 3) taking a math class. Students must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), may be enrolled full or part-time, and have a minimum 2.3 GPA. Open to bachelor's students.

Pop and Marj Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund II  (Awarded by Financial Aid Office)
Open students with financial need (determined by FASFA) attending the Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Worth or Boca campuses.  Students must have graduated (are received GED) from a public high school in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Lee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, or Palm Beach County. Student may be full or part-time, and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Opened to degree seeking and CCP students. 

North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for students on the Palm Beach Gardens Campus seeking an AS Degree. Student may be full or part-time and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. 

Freshman (Incoming)

Altman Tech-Prep Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is available for incoming freshmen who have participated in a career academy at a Palm Beach County High School. Student must be enrolled 9 or more credit hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Financial need is required. To be eligible, applicants must complete a FAFSA.

Communities Is Schools Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship to support students who participated in the Communities in Schools programs in high school. Must be a resident of Palm Beach County and a graduate of a Palm Beach County high school. Student may be registered full or part-time in a degree or CCP program. Student must maintain a 2.0 GPA, and have financial need (determined by FAFSA).

Dollars for Scholars Scholarship
This scholarship is available for incoming freshmen who are graduating from Lake Worth High School. This is a merit based scholarship awarded by the Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Committee.

Palm Beach County Leadership Forward Scholarship
This scholarship is available for incoming freshmen who have graduated from a Palm Beach County High School. Students must be enrolled 12 credit hours or more and have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher. Student must be a resident of Palm Beach County. Financial need is not required.

The Meshberg Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship is open to all students that graduated from Dwyer or Jupiter High School. Student must be in-state, have financial need (determined by FAFSA) and may be full or part-time.

 

Returning Student Scholarship

Glynn Stone Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students in all areas of study who are returning as a sophomore to complete their degree. Student must be enrolled 9 credit hours for day or 6 credit hours for night and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Financial need is required. To be eligible, applicants must complete a FAFSA.

Helen Bokas Darcey Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students in their second year (or sophomore equivalent). Student must be in-state, may be full or part-time, and pursuing an AA with plans to transfer to a four year university to major in Communications or English. Minimum 3.3 GPA. Financial need (as determined by FAFSA) is required.

Jewett Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students who are returning as a sophomore to complete their degree. Student must be enrolled 9 or more credit hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Financial need is required. To be eligible, applicants must complete a FAFSA.

Pinnacle Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is for degree-seeking students over 30 years old and returning to school. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled full-time. Preference given to female students. 

 

Honors College 

Alice Duxbury Scholarship
This scholarship is for students of the Honors College.  Students are asked to submit an essay on a scholarly subject for competition. Full or part-time students are eligible, with a GPA 3.0 or higher.  FAFSA not required. 

Stewart Honors College Scholarship (Recommendation by Honors College)
This scholarship is open to in-state Honor's College students, enrolled 6 or more credit hours and who have completed 6 or more credit hours of honor's course work. Student must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA 3.5 or higher. FAFSA is preferred, but not required.

Clubs/Community Partners/Organizations

ASPIRA of Florida Scholarship
Scholarship open to students that were active members in good standing of ASPIRA Club of Florida during high school. Students must be enrolled 6 or more credits, with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student is not required to have completed FAFSA.

Communities in Schools Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship to support students who participated in the Communities in Schools programs in high school. Must be a resident of Palm Beach County and a graduate of a Palm Beach County high school. Student may be registered full or part-time in a degree or CCP program. Student must maintain a 2.0 GPA, and have financial need (determined by FASFA).  

Dr. Charles Colbert Endowed Music Scholarship
Scholarship for full-time instrumental music students (must be in Concert Band). Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), and a minimum 3.0 GPA in music classes, with a minimum 2.5 GPA overall. Audition required for selection. Recipient is selected by a designated member of the music department. Student must be registered for and participate in Recital Seminar (MUS 0010), and perform in the semester in which they receive the scholarship.

Dr. Maria Vallejo ASPIRA Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students that are or have been active ASPIRA club members in good standing (in high school or college). Student may be in or out-of-state, full or part-time, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Student is not required to have completed FAFSA.

Dream It Do It Club Scholarship
For students attending the Eissey Campus who are active members of the Dream It Do Club who have financial need (determined by FAFSA).  Students may be full or part-time, in or out of state and  must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Hilda Dobbins – Adopt-A-Family Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship to support clients of Adopt-A-Family of Palm Beach County. Student must be enrolled for 3 or more credits, and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. 

John Mark Photos Endowed Scholarship
For students attending the Eissey Campus who are either: 1) active members of the Dream It Do Club, 2) majoring in art, or 3) taking a math class. Students must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), may be enrolled full or part-time, and have a minimum 2.3 GPA. Open to bachelor's students.

Lotspeich Co. of Florida Current Use Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Lotspeich employees or member of their immediate family (defined as a spouse, children and or grandchildren). Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and may be full or part-time. Employee must have been working in the employment of Lotspeich for a period of one or more years to qualify.

Martino Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship to support clients of Adopt-A-Family of Palm Beach County. Student must be enrolled for 6 or more credits, and have a minimum 2.0 GPA . 

Meacham Oliver Tomasello Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship benefits employees of Tomasello, Inc. and/or children of employees. Students may be full or part-time, and must have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Scholarship award may be used for tuition and books.

Mosow (William A.) Endowed Scholarship
Open to sophomore members of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing. Student must be full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Foundation Scholarship
Administered by the Foundation for Palm Beach State College in conjunction with the Associate Dean of Public Safety and/or his/her designee. Awarded annually to full- or part-time students within the criminal justice program for one academic year up to $5000. Scholarship may be renewed upon availability of funding and satisfactory progress by the recipient. Preference is given to those residing in Palm Beach County who demonstrate financial need. Students who (1) receive this scholarship, (2) complete the PBSC program and (3) are recruited by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office are eligible to receive a $2000 bonus paid by the Sheriff's Office. 

Please Note: Only unsponsored recruits are eligible to apply. Students who are already or will be sponsored are not eligible for this scholarship.

PBSC AFC Nancy Buhl Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is open to AFC member and/or member's spouse, child or grandchild; FAFSA not required; Student may be full or part-time. Complete AFC essay in application.

Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches' Rudolph von Unruh Young Musicians Scholarship
Scholarship is offered to students performing in PBSC Musical Performance groups, with preference given to instrumental musicians. Student must be a Palm Beach County resident, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be registered full-time. Scholarship provides for tuition and other educational related expenses.

SAEN-KING Current Use Scholarship
Scholarship is for Saint Andrews Estates North hospitality employees. Student must be in-state and have minimum GPA of 2.0. Preferred programs general education and health fields. Campus preference Boca Raton.

Women for Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who have an affiliation with AVDA (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse) or Best Foot Forward.  Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), have a minimum GPA of 2.0, support women's organization through community service. Preference given to students returning to school after a gap in their education. 

Associate Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) Degree Seeking

Barbara Jean Williams Endowed Scholarship
Open to students in pursuit of their AA degree intending to major in English. Financial need (determined by FAFSA) required. Student must be in-state. Student may be full or part-time, and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Scholarship is for tuition and books.

Chris Ferguson Construction Trades Scholarship
Chris Ferguson is a PBSC alumnus who was a Presidential Honors College Scholarship recipient and later earned a Construction Management Degree from the University of Florida. Today, he has a successful career in the Construction Management industry and is eager to give back to his alma mater. The Chris Ferguson Construction Trades Scholarship helps Construction Management and Construction Trades students who meet program requirements, fund their education and training, and increase the workforce pipeline to the community. Each semester, a $1,000 award is given to two (2) students for tuition and education-related expenses for a total of $2,000 per academic year. This scholarship will be awarded annually over a 5-year period.

DeBartolo Endowed Scholarship
For degree seeking students who are residents of Palm Beach County and a graduate of a Palm Beach County High School. Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

Robert L. Schattner Endowed Business Scholarship
This scholarship is open to BAS and business students seeking AA or BAS Degree with financial need (determined by FAFSA) Student must be in-state, may be full or part-time with a minimum 2.5 

The Howard E. Hill Foundation Current Use Scholarship
Scholarship is open to Belle Glade students in an AA, AS or CCP program (excluding cosmetology). Student must be in-state and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Full or part-time students are eligible.  

 

Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS Program)

John Mark Photos & Beverley Mas Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is available to current members in good standing in the Dream it Do It Club. Students can be enrolled in the BAS Program. Students must be enrolled 6 or more credit hours and have a GPA of 2.3 or higher. Financial need is required. To be eligible, applicants must complete a FAFSA.

Robert L. Schattner Endowed Business Scholarship
This scholarship is open to BAS and business students seeking AA or BAS Degree with financial need (determined by FAFSA) Student must be in-state, may be full or part-time with a minimum 2.5 

The Frederick J. and Dorothy A. Luder Endowed Scholarship Fund
Scholarship is for students with financial need (determined by FAFSA)  in the RN to BSN program. Must have a minimum  3.0 GPA and may be enrolled full or part-time. Scholarship is for tuition only. 

Victor Farris Endowed Scholarship
Open to students who are AA degree seeking w/focus on STEAM or BAS in Entrepreneurship.  Student must be in-state, have financial need (determined by FAFSA), enrolled full or part-time, and  have a minimum GPA of 2.75. 

 

Career Certificate Program (CCP)

NOTE:  For students enrolled in CCP Programs, the required enrollment credit hours will be converted to clock hour equivalency when considering students for scholarships.

Chris Ferguson Construction Trades Scholarship
Chris Ferguson is a PBSC alumnus who was a Presidential Honors College Scholarship recipient and later earned a Construction Management Degree from the University of Florida. This scholarship is open to students attending the Belle Glade campus attending CCP or CCE courses.  Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), reside in Belle Glade, be enrolled 6 or more credits or equivalent, and have a minimum 2.0 GPA or equivalent.

Julien Family Scholarship
Scholarship is open to students in CCE programs of study and CCP students with financial need (determined by FAFSA). Programs eligible for funding are listed on the CCE webpage.

There is no minimum GPA requirement for CCE students. Minimum 2.0 GPA for CCP students. Students must complete an application and submit a 200 word essay. The amount of award is based on the scholarship criteria and ranges from $500 - $1,000 to cover tuition and program fees. Student must be a Florida resident.

Low Voltage Contractor’s Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in (CCP) Building Security & Automation Systems This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Building Security & Automation Systems Technology Program (CCP). Scholarship covers tuition and books.

Matt McMullin Welding Endowed Scholarship
Open to students at Lake Worth campus enrolled in Welding Technology, Career Certificate Program (CCP). Eligibility requirements include financial need (determined by FAFSA), in-state and Palm Beach County residency, enrollment in Welding program of study and either full or part-time status. Scholarship covers tuition, books, fees and program-related expenses.

Soroptimist International of Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship benefitting students attending Boca Campus, with financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students may be full or part-time, in degree or CCP programs. Preference for female student.  

Stewart Vocational Scholarship
Open to all full and part-time CCP vocational students, with  2.0 GPA or higher.  FAFSA not required.

The Howard E. Hill Foundation Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for Belle Glade students in an AA, AS or CCP program (excluding cosmetology). Student must be in-state and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Full or part-time students are eligible.

Welder Services of FL Steve Knight Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students in the Welding Program (CCP). Student must be in-state, may be full or part-time. Student is to participate in events hosted by the Welder Services of Florida, Inc.  No FAFSA required.

Winning Opportunities for the Workforce (WOW) Scholarship
Scholarship is open to students in Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) programs of study with financial need (determined by FAFSA). Open to students wishing to improve their opportunities in the workforce, local businesses and the community.  Programs eligible for funding are listed on the CCE webpage.  The award is based on the scholarship criteria. Student must be a Florida resident.

Ann Chew Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for full-time, degree seeking or CCPstudent. Recipient must have at least one parent employed as a migrant worker.

Bank of America Dream Makers Scholarship
This scholarship is for students whose parent(s) did not complete a baccalaureate degree. Students must have financial need (as determined by FASFA), be residents of Florida, be degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits. Student must have a 2.0 GPA or higher.

Calloway and Family Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship is open to all students in any programs of study including CCP and certification. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA),  a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in 6 or more credits. African American students preferred.  

Congressman Mark Foley Law Enforcement Scholarship
Scholarship helps PBSC Police Academy recruits who meet program requirements, funding their training and increasing the law enforcement pipeline to the community.

Scholarship supports PBSC Police Academy students who are not already sponsored by one of the 24 law enforcement agencies in Palm Beach County that send their recruits to PBSC's Academy. Each year, a $2,500 award is given to one (1) student for unmet tuition and education-related expenses. Awarded annually over a ten period. 

Congressman Mark Foley Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship is awarded to PBSC students who meet the requirements for the nursing program. Full or part time students who reside in Florida are eligible to apply. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is also required. Each year, a $2,500 award is given to one (1) student for unmet tuition and education-related expenses. Awarded annually over a ten period.  

Scholarship targets an essential need as Florida is projected to be short by 59,100 nurses by 2035, according to a 2021 study from the Florida Hospital Association and Safety Net Hospital Alliance of Florida. 

Deansy and Dennis Gallon Endowed Scholarship
Open to all students, including full and part-time.  Must have financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a minimum 2.0 GPA.  Preference given to students who have participated in volunteer work in the community.

Dress for Success Palm Beaches Scholarship
On behalf of the Quinn Foundation, the Dress for Success Palm Beaches Scholarship offers a full scholarship (covering tuition and educational related expenses) to students who reside in Palm Beach County, attending classes at the Belle Glade or Lake Worth campus. Students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in the College’s Cosmetology program, interested in pursuing a career as a Nail Technician or Facial Specialist, are encouraged to apply. The mission of Dress for Success Palm Beaches is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and developmental tools to help women thrive in work and life.

Edward M. Eissey Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship supporting students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Student must be in-state and may be either full or part-time.  

First Generation in College Scholarship  (Awarded by Financial Aid)
The Florida First Generation in College Scholarship is for students whose parent(s) did not complete a baccalaureate degree. This scholarship is for students with financial need (as determined by FAFSA), are residents of Florida, who are degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits. 

Florescue Family Endowed Scholarship
Available to second year students majoring in business administration or other business-related certificate programs, preferably participating in a related internship. Students must have expressed desire to become a community leader in Palm Beach or Broward County.   Student must be in-state, have a minimum 3.5 GPA and may be enrolled full- or parttime. Preference given to students who are south Palm Beach County residents, living south of Lake Worth campus. 

Foundation General Current Use Scholarship  (Awarded by Financial Aid)
Awarded at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office.

  • Student must be seeking AA, AS, BA, BAS, BSN or CCP degree
  • Student must have completed the FAFSA and have financial need.
  • Student must be enrolled for 6 or more credit hours or vocational

Scholarship open to students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student may be full or part time.

Gallon Family Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship is open to all students with financial need (determined by FAFSA), who are in-state with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student may be full or part-time. Preference given to students who have demonstrated Community Service/Club Involvement/Volunteer Work.

HNM Architecture Scholarship
Open to students enrolled in the architecture program who demonstrate financial need (determined by FAFSA). In-state students may be fulltime (at least 9 credits) or part-time (at least 6 credits) and must demonstrate a 2.5 GPA. Scholarship covers tuition and education related expenses. 

John Turp Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship benefitting degree seeking students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA) and be enrolled full time. Preference given to students with Finnish or Estonian heritage. 

Julie Kime Hispanic Women Scholarship
A scholarship open to all fields of study. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA) and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship covers tuition only.  Student may be full or part-time. Hispanic female students preferred.

KariAna Twin Scholarship Fund
For in-state students in all programs with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher. Student must have financial need (determined by FASFA). Full and part-time students are eligible. Preferred recipients are Latina single mothers of multiples returning to school. Scholarship covers tuition.

Leal Scholars Program Scholarship
Student must be in-state, full-time and have financial need (determined by FAFSA), be the first generation in their family to attend college, and have a minimum GPA of 3.3. Hispanic preferred.

Mary G. Hart Scholarship for Women
Established in tribute of Mary G. Hart, former Executive Director of the Dress for Success Palm Beaches organization. Scholarship supports and empowers female students, with financial need in Palm Beach County.

Mullooly Carey Scholarship Fund
Scholarship to support first generation in college students who have lost a parent, child or spouse. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and may be registered full or part-time.

PBSC Endowed Scholarship-Fund 6
Open to all full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA).

Pirtle Construction Company Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship open to all students with financial need (determined by FAFSA) with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student may be full or part-time.

South Florida Fair Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for in-state students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students may be full or part-time and reside. 

Dr. Gary Paul Swank Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually to either full or part-time students in the health sciences field with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Students must show financial need (determined by FAFSA). George James Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship for degree-seeking students in the Criminal Justice program with financial need (determined by FAFSA), enrolled full or part-time with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Martin E. Murphy, Sr. Marine Endowed Scholarship
Open to students enrolled in Marine Service Technology Program. Criteria for eligibility require students to be residents of Palm Beach County, be enrolled full-time and maintain a 2.7 GPA. A written reflection focused on the significance of this career choice and the goals and aspirations of the individual is required.

Paul Medaris Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Paul William Medaris was known for his infectious smile and a unique ability to bring out the best in others. Sadly, due to his passing in 2018, he was unable to utilize his college fund. In a beautiful tribute to her beloved son, Sally Medaris has established the Paul Medaris Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund in support of First Generation in College students who face financial challenges in their chosen field of study. Empowering these students, builds their careers and leaves behind a lasting legacy for their families.

Robert Samuel Limauro Memorial Scholarship
Open to students enrolled in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. Students applying must complete FAFSA requirements, attend the Lake Worth campus and reside in Palm Beach County. Scholarship is awarded to four (4) full time students (9 credits or more per semester) to be used toward tuition and education related expenses. Each recipient is awarded up to a maximum of $1000 per academic year.

Seth Fishman Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Open to full-time and part-time students enrolled in PBSC's Visual Arts program at the Lake Worth campus. Students must show financial need (determined by FAFSA), maintain a minimum 2.5 minimum GPA and reside in Palm Beach County. Students are also required to review Seth Fishman's portfolio of work and submit a 350 word essay, sharing his/her personal and professional goals and aspirations.

The Illustrated Properties F.F. "Chappy" Adams, III Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship is open to students in all degree-seeking or CCP programs. Student must be a Palm Beach County resident, paying in-state tuition and  enrolled 6 or more credit hours or CCP equivalent.

The PBC Teachers Association Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for in-state student residing in Palm Beach County,  and a graduate of Carver, JFK, Lake Shore or Roosevelt High School. Student must have financial need 9determined by FAFSA), have a minimum 2.0 and may be full or part-time. Preference to education majors. 

Dr. Robert D. Matteson Scholarship - Current Use
This scholarship is available to students majoring in programs that are part of the STEM initiative to include the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), be enrolled full-time and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Dr. Robert D. Matteson Scholarship-Endowed

Meyer Kesner and Bernice Kesner Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship for students in STEM programs (science, technology, engineering, math). Students must be in-state, have financial need (as determined by FAFSA), be a full-time student in a degree seeking program. Minimum GPA for in-coming freshmen is 2.5. To maintain the scholarship, student my earn and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. is available to students majoring in programs that are part of the STEM initiative to include the Sciences, Technology, Engineering , and Math areas.

Mized and Kannan Families Scholarship
This scholarship is open to full-time students majoring in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) areas. Student must have financial need (determined by FAFSA), be a Florida resident, and have a minimum GPA 3.75Scholarship covers tuition only. 

STEAM Scholarship (Award Spring)
Need based scholarship open to students majoring in any of the STEAM programs. Open to in-state, full or part- time students with a minimum 2.6 GPA. 

Victor Farris Endowed Scholarship
Open to students who are AA degree seeking w/focus on STEAM or BAS in Entrepreneurship.  Student must be in-state, have financial need (determined by FAFSA), enrolled full or part-time, and  have a minimum GPA of 2.75. 

American Legion Veteran's Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is open to a veteran or child or spouse of veteran with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student may be full or part-time. Preference for a female softball player. Scholarship for tuition and books. 

Ibis Friends of Veterans Charitable Scholarship
Scholarship to support in-state veteran students with financial need (determined by FAFSA). Student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, full or part-time. Preference given to students attending the Gardens campus. This scholarship covers tuition and education related expenses. (Children not mentioned in written criteria funds)
