TradeUP!
Scholarships for Caribbean Students
In today’s fast-paced, competitive world, students are searching for practical educational opportunities after they graduate high school. Avoiding the high debt of universities and a degree in “uncertainty,” young people are realizing that trade programs offer a faster and more affordable pathway into high-demand careers, financial security and their own businesses.
The TradeUp! Scholarship Program at Palm Beach State College offers an affordable and a comprehensive trade and technical curricula and career continuing education programs to qualifying students from the State of Florida and the Caribbean. Students can learn, gain practical knowledge and achieve their professional goals in their chosen fields either in person or online.
Currently, funding is available to those studying culinary arts, hospitality and event management. With the tourist industry serving as the financial backbone of Florida and the Caribbean, the TradeUP! initiative creates an educational pathway for those entering careers in these important fields.

Reflecting a strong entrepreneurial spirit, the TradeUP! initiative is also leading the development of a comprehensive entrepreneurship curriculum at Palm Beach State College.
