These continuing education courses prepare students for the Water and/or Wastewater Level "C" state license.

  • Level "C" is offered in three parts, 54 hours each. Students must complete all three parts. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students will be qualified to sit for the "C" state license exam.
  • The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has approved these courses to prepare for your state exam.
  • Prepare the student to pass the Distribution Operator exam in less than a month.

WATER TREATMENT OPERATION (C LEVEL), PART 1 - ORO0210

In this course, students will learn to safely and effectively operate and maintain drinking water plants. Information is presented on drinking water regulations, fluoridation, instrumentation and advanced lab procedures. Administrative procedures for dealing with budgeting, setting rates, recordkeeping, personnel administration, public relations and emergency planning are also covered in this course. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Water Treatment License Exam.

WATER TREATMENT OPERATION (C LEVEL), PART 2 - ORO0211

This course is a continuation of ORO0210 and designed to train operators to safely and effectively operate and maintain drinking water treatment plants. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Water Treatment License Exam.

WATER TREATMENT OPERATION (C LEVEL), PART 3 - ORO0218

This course is a continuation of ORO0211. Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 are prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Water Treatment License Exam.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATION (C LEVEL), PART 1 - ORO0212

This course is designed to train students to safely and effectively operate and maintain wastewater treatment plants. You will be trained in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants, emphasizing safe practices and procedures. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are the prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Wastewater Treatment License Exam.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATION (C LEVEL), PART 2 - ORO0213

This course is a continuation of part 1. Students are trained in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants, emphasizing safe practices and procedures. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are the prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Wastewater Treatment License Exam.

This course is a continuation of Part 2. Students are trained in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants, emphasizing safe practices and procedures. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 are the prerequisite courses for taking the State's Class "C" Wastewater Treatment License Exam.


Water Distribution Operator Level 3 License - ORO0215

This course is designed to prepare students to pass the Florida Department of Environmental Protection test and become a water distribution operator. The level 3 operator license qualifies the operator to serve the distribution system connected to a Class A, B, or C water treatment plant serving at least 1,000 persons and less than 10,000. This class covers storage facilities, distribution system facilities, distribution system operation and maintenance, distribution system mathematics, disinfection and safety.
