Makeup Essentials and Beyond - TIO0960

Prerequisite: State of Florida Cosmetology, Esthetician or Salon License

How would you like to create a make-up that makes your client look so naturally flawless that no one will believe they didn't wake up that way?  Before you can apply make-up, you must first master the individual elements of an application. This course will break down the basic beauty building blocks and then put them back together to create a polished final look. Some of the topics included will be client consultation, essential tools, product knowledge, product selection, color choices, prepping the canvas, make-up theory and application techniques. For the novice and experienced professional alike, this course offers a blend of theory, demonstration and practical application to enhance your skills in beauty make-up artistry.

Prerequisite: State of Florida Cosmetology, Esthetician or Salon License

Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive, cost-effective treatment that can help reduce or eliminate the wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, light acne scars, and undesired pigmentation that may appear on the skin over time. Microdermabrasion removes the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and reveals younger, healthier-looking skin.



Skin Care Ingredients: What Skin Care Is Made of and What It Does - TIO0963

Learn about cosmetic ingredients used in skin care products! Learn the functions and chemical names of main base and active ingredients, so you can identify them on skin care packaging, evaluate the effect of the product and accordingly recommend the right product to your client. Get deep knowledge about how the ingredients work in the skin and why!


 Hair Courses

Hair Braiding License - TIO0958

Join us and become a licensed, professional Hair Braider. You will learn the theory, practical and safety skills needed to braid.  This course meets state required guidelines, and no experience necessary. In a short time you will gain the skills to have a profession that will be profitable.



Hair Color Basics - TIO0941

Hair color is one of the most rewarding services offered at a salon. Many stylists shy away from color because of chemistry involved, possible problems, and mistakes that may occur. Learn in-depth color training including color theory, measurement, analysis, color level system, undertones and developers. This course will highlight the basics of the coloring process and color application to help you elevate your confidence level as you increase your knowledge.


Salon 40-Hour Lab Practices - TIO0980

This lab is for students that require the additional 40-hours of salon lab services, as dictated by the statutes of the Florida State Board of Cosmetology. Students will work in the cosmetology salon lab to provide services to clients.
