Looking for a way to enrich your child's curiosity and creativity? As part of Palm Beach State's Continuing Education programming, we offer courses designed to attract enthusiastic youth who are eager to learn about a wide variety of topics, including aviation, programming, drones, arts & more!

Summer in the Stratosphere
Join Palm Beach State College in partnership with NearSpace for a one-week "balloon" build and launch. Students will apply their engineering & design principles to create a mission plan and construct a prototype payload that will be attached to a high-altitude research balloon and flown.
Students in grades 6-12 have a choice of four different camp locations:
- June 17-20, 2024 at the Belle Glade campus | Directions & Campus Map
- June 24-27, 2024 at the Boca Raton campus | Directions & Campus Map
Aerospace STEM Programs
Join Palm Beach State College in partnership with Aviation Connection for a some exciting STEM programs. Students will learn about aircraft & their instruments, construct an airplane by working with drawings, work with drones, and more!
AI & Flying Robots - $50.00 for a 1-week Camp
Students will learn the basics of Artificial Intelligence in a fun and accessible way using Flyer Robots (Intelligent drones). They will learn the basics of Python programming and neural networks to recognize objects and command the drones.
- June 17 - June 20 , 2024 (No class on June 19) Students must bring their own lunch
- Monday - Thursday from 9am - 4pm

Aerospace Engineering: Build a Radio-controlled Plane - $100.00 for a 2-week camp
Learn the fundamentals of flight: Design, build and fly a radio-controlled cargo plane with an 8-foot wingspan.
- June 24 - July 3 , 2024 Student must bring their own lunch
- Monday - Thursday from 9am - 4pm

Principles of Digital Photography
An introduction to digital photography. Students analyze photographs to determine their positive and negative characteristics. Students produce their own visually compelling images by employing the correct photographic techniques.

Drawing 101
Explore the essential principles of drawing this summer in our comprehensive course. From mastering perspective and line to understanding form, shading, landscape, and object drawing, you'll develop a strong foundation in artistic techniques.

Theatre 3-week camp
In this three-week session, students will work collaboratively to devise an original play, culminating in a performance for young audiences.

Summer STEM Camps
Teens and young adults, ages 8-14 years old, can learn new skills in coding, game design, eSports, virtual reality and more. STEM camps are highly interactive and led by expert instructors. Jump-start your future in creative tech with Palm Beach State College and Black Rocket. Classes are offered online & in person.
