PBSC Celebrates 90 Years

Palm Beach State College, Florida's first public community college, is proud to be celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2023! PBSC 90th Anniversary logo with Knowledge is Forever

A special logo was created to commemorate the 90th Anniversary. The logo incorporates the founding motto on the official College seal. The motto, “Sabiduria es Poder,” is the Spanish term for “Knowledge is Power.” For the 90th anniversary, we’re adding to this motto by using the slogan “Knowledge is Forever,” which reflects the significance of the legacy of teaching and learning at PBSC on its diamond anniversary.

Since its founding in 1933, PBSC has grown to become one of the most impactful institutions of higher education in the state of Florida and a primary resource for postsecondary education and economic growth in Palm Beach County.

PBSC has prepared generations of leaders to achieve lifelong success and give back to our communities. Alumni enter the workforce with the skills and knowledge to innovate in fields such as business, finance, technology, public service, health care, law, criminal justice, and other industries. Each week we will be highlighting the accomplishments of our graduates under the banner Panther Proud: Alumni Spotlight.

In addition to our spotlights each week, stay tuned for more information on campus expansions, groundbreakings and other initiatives planned throughout the year to commemorate this significant milestone.

Panther Proud: Alumni Spotlight

To commemorate our 90th anniversary, we will be highlighting the accomplishments of many of our graduates through our Panther Proud: Alumni Spotlight series.  You can be a part of it too!  Read our spotlights and learn how.
