Snare & Tenor
The snare and tenor are the primary foundation of the drumline. The snare & tenors play the most complex music parts, and have the most demand for accuracy and precision. At Palm Beach State, we march up to 6 snares and 3 tenors.
Bass Drum & Cymbals
The bass drum and cymbal sections are the driving force that supports the other voices
of the drumline, and provide the visuals as well as impact and depth that helps the
drumline be heard from across campus. The bassline requires a good understanding of
math and timing, and the cymbal section requires some strength and the ability to
perform high energy movements.
