Dr. Gossman was selected as the founding faculty member and first Department Chair for PBSC’s Baccalaureate program. His job duties included documenting much of the original curriculum for over 30 BAS courses.
Growing up in Miami, Dr. Gossman graduated from Miami-Dade Junior College (AA) and the University of Miami with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. While working fulltime at AT&T, he completed an MBA and Doctor of Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University.
Before his work at PBSC, Dr. Gossman retired with an executive buy-out from AT&T. He started as a junior engineering manager and over the years worked as a technical writer, corporate engineering instructor, and supervising manager before holding several executive posts. In one of his final positions he directed over 500 employees and managed a 30 million dollar budget.
Dr. Gossman is married with two grown children and a grandson. He holds a Florida Department of Financial Services license and serves in a consulting role for the insurance agency owned by his wife. Past hobbies/interests have included coaching youth baseball, performing as a musical accompanist, and producing recording sessions for local musicians. In the late 1990s to mid-2000s he served as producer/business consultant for his son’s bands before they signed national recording contracts. He and his wife are currently members of the North American Butterfly Association and are certified butterfly gardening hobbyists.
