Author and Professor Africa Fine has more than 20 years of college teaching experience and has been a professional writer for more than 20 years as well. She has published five novels, Katrina (2001), Becoming Maren (2003), Looking for Lily (2008), Save Me (2009) and Swan (2010). She has also published a variety of short stories and poems in literary magazines.
Africa Fine earned a master’s degree in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University and bachelor’s degrees from Duke University in Public Policy and African American Studies. Africa Fine is currently an Associate Professor and Department Co-Chair of English and Literature at Palm Beach State College's Boca Raton Campus.
