Food Assistance

Food assistance programs and food pantry programs are essential for addressing food insecurity and ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have access to nutritious food to support their health and well-being.

Panther's Pantry

Panther's Pantry is a free resource for PBSC students, faculty, and staff, and it has locations on all five campuses. It provides a variety of free items including canned food, frozen meat, fresh produce, snacks and toiletries to those that need it. More information and pre-packed pickup appointments can be on the Panther's Pantry website.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits.

If you are interested in exploring your eligibility, please make an appointment.
