Critically acclaimed for their dedication to inspiring audiences worldwide, educational outreach, and art appreciation, Parsons Dance is on the cutting edge of self-expression and communication.



The contemporary American dance company is renowned for its athletic ensemble work and has toured to more than 445 cities, 30 countries, and 5 continents. Works are selected from the varied repertory of David Parsons who has received numerous accolades, including three Choreography Fellowship Grants from the NEA, the American Choreography Award, and the Dance Magazine Award.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble (CPRDE), on its 51st Anniversary Tour, is a cultural ambassador, infusing vitality, innovation and education into every community they touch—around the corner and around the globe. 


The exquisite program the company will perform for Duncan Theatre audiences will include a new work entitled The Four Journeys, conceived by Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernandez, Artistic Director of Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, that examines the confluence of culture in Mexico from its diverse Indigenous heritage to the more recent influences of European, African, and Asian infusions. This work also features a collaboration with Japanese video mapping artist, Taketo Kobayashi.

For this 50th anniversary celebration, Pilobolus questions its own “givens,” turns its traditions sideways, and brings its past into the future. As fresh and vibrant as ever, Pilobolus –that feisty arts organism– puts the “Oh!” in ​BIG FIVE OH!​, and continues to morph its way thrillingly into audiences’ hearts and minds.


The celebration includes signature works from vintage classics to their trend setting innovative work in shadow.   


Martha Graham Dance

The Martha Graham Dance Company has been a world leader in the evolving art form of modern dance since its founding in 1926. Today, the Company is embracing a new programming vision that showcases masterpieces by Graham alongside newly commissioned works by contemporary artists.




The evening’s program will feature the 75th Anniversary tour performance of Graham’s masterwork - Appalachian Spring.


Miami Dance Futures presents

The Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler

After last year's virtual-only performances, the annual Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler returns to live, in-person events for its 11th year. Celebrating the tenacity and creativity of Florida's dancers and choreographers, it will showcase a curated group of eight works, featuring some of the best the state has to offer. Named for the Founding Dean of the Dance Department of New World School of the Arts, the program of short works and excerpts launches the season of dance as Florida returns, carefully, to in-person performances and theaters reopen.

The full list of companies and choreographers for the Sampler are: Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Ballet Flamenco la Rosa, Ballet Vero Beach, Maya Billig, Dance NOW! Miami, Karen Peterson and Dancers, New World Dance Ensemble, and Sandra Portal Andreu.

The Sampler is produced in collaboration with Dance NOW! Miami, New World School of the Arts, Duncan Theatre Palm Beach State College, and the Florida Dance Education Organization.

Duncan Theatre will be following state regulations and guidance about COVID-19. For Duncan, face coverings are strongly encouraged, and for New World, masks are required. Audience members are asked not to attend if they are ill or experiencing any possible symptoms.
