PBSC CARES Act Grant
What Is The CARES Act Grant?
The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) in accordance with Section 314(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), provided $23 billion to colleges nationwide for emergency financial aid grants to be distributed to enrolled students who have expenses related to the COVID–19 pandemic. PBSC decided to immediately distribute their $9,466,718 CARES Emergency Grant by providing a one-time $1,000 grant to approximately 9466 students on a “first come, first served” basis.
CARES Act Grant to Students Disclosure
- The total amount of HEERF II and HEERF III funding received by PBSC was $45,778,779.
- For the time period of July 1 – September 30, 2022, PBSC distributed $31,350 to 70 students.
- For the time period of April 1 – June 30, 2022, PBSC distributed $1,205,650 to 1,194 students.
- For the time period of Jan. 1 - March 31, 2022, PBSC distributed $11,344,000 to 11,344 students.
- For the time period of Oct. 1 - Dec. 31, 2021, PBSC distributed $5,583,000 to 5,383 students.
