The Office of Communications & Public Affairs (OCPA), formerly College Relations & Marketing (CRM), communicates to internal and external audiences the College's role in meeting the higher education and training needs of Palm Beach County. We tell the story of PBSC's programs, initiatives and achievements through press releases, news articles, the web, social media and other platforms.

Marketing & Advertising
OCPA maintains a consistent, positive public image of Palm Beach State's record as a high-quality educational institution. Our strategic marketing and advertising plan includes print, television, radio, online and out-of-home messaging to promote the College's programs, services and overall brand.

Graphic Design
Our in-house team of graphic designers creates all of the College's brochures and major publications. The designers also ensure that pieces produced throughout the College adhere to the PBSC Branding Guidelines. | Request Graphic Design services

Web Communications
The web team works closely with OCPA, College staff and faculty to ensure consistency and accuracy of the information on the web. Online writing and best practices are offered, as well as PBSC Web Standards. | Request Web services

Social Media
Palm Beach State students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students and the public can stay in touch and get information through the official social media sites, which are maintained by OCPA. | Request Social Media services

CUBE
The CUBE at the center of Panther Plaza on the Lake Worth campus is a digital marquee with four LED screens. Its purpose is to display images, videos and livestreams that elevate awareness of the College’s priority initiatives. The content displayed is managed by OCPA. Tickets are not being accepted at this time.

Media Relations
With team members including former journalists, we understand the deadlines reporters and editors face. The Office of Communications & Public Affairs will work to respond to media requests as quickly as possible, whether it is helping locate sources, arranging interviews or getting the College's official statement or position on issues. All media requests, including public records and on-campus photography and video shoots, are coordinated by OCPA. Requests for public records will be reviewed for compliance with Florida Government-in-the-Sunshine Laws and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Palm Beach State Events Calendar is used to market PBSC events and also to let those planning events know what is already scheduled.  View tips and other resources available to promote your activities on the Event Calendar page.

Internal Promotions
Faculty, staff and students who need help promoting College events or initiatives can count on OCPA to ensure that the information is well publicized and the promotional materials are visually appealing. All flyers, forms or letters that will be distributed to the community or posted on the College website must first be reviewed and approved.
